Foster Angel Tree

The Foster Angel Tree is Up!

Awww come on, Laurie!  It’s not even Thanksgiving yet! I know but there are less than six weeks of shopping before the pick up deadline of December 14th. And, of course, we have to make sure to take everyone can take advantage of the post-Thanksgiving sales! You can take one tag, or more than one.  Buy one gift, or more than one gift. Buy toys they want, or clothing needs.  Or both. (We noted one request for a "Live Hamster."  It's tempting, but please, no!)

Some of the children in the Foster system are able to go back with their parents, but most are not.  If they’re lucky they stay in one home throughout their time in foster care. But most are moved around.  Most of the volunteers in this program are Foster Parents and many of those adopt the children they care for, despite having children of their own. Our contribution at this time of year helps make all this a bit easier. Daily necessities are priority, Christmas presents are a luxury we can make possible. Why is this important? Because it’s your money going directly to a child and insures a better holiday season, right here in Hillsborough County.

Thank you,
Laurie
